    Security Lead

     

     

    This position is responsible for developing, leading and executing in the following areas:

     ·

    • Under supervision from the Corporate Security Services Manager, lead the physical security program at select locations and apply all applicable policies and procedures for employees, guests, and contractor security requirements.
    • Monitor and maintain fire protection and monitoring systems, access control systems and CCTV systems. Is responsible for responding to alarms within the above systems and collaborate with the appropriate internal and external partners to resolve the situation. Patrol the campus on both foot and in a company assigned vehicle.
    • Trusted business partner and consultant on security issues, strategies and projects at assigned locations across the enterprise with leaders, human resources, facilities, legal and others as the situation requires. Build relationships to facilitate proactive security support at assigned locations across the enterprise.
    • Respond to both emergency and non-emergency situations, provide security support and help to coordinate the response of other internal and external teams. Provide escorts and associated protection control measures to employees as applicable.  Document and report information to the appropriate internal and external partner in accordance with Company and Department policies and procedures.
    • Support investigations of incidents and complex security issues that occur at assigned locations in conjunction with management, Human Resources and law enforcement. Keep department manager apprised of findings, recommend next steps and outcomes.    
    • Participate in site leadership meetings at assigned locations to encourage an open flow of communication between security and other facility and operations teams.     
    • Provide support to department and team initiatives and projects
    • Provide security-related training to key business partners and leaders at assigned locations across the enterprise.
    • Build strong partnerships with law enforcement, emergency responders and other public officials at assigned locations.

    Work closely and provide oversight to vendors and contractors who support Andersen's security technology systems, including capital projects and system upgrades

    Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will have the following attributes & characteristics:

    • Ideal candidate will have a college degree in a closely related field or minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in the security industry. 
    • Ability to meet and maintain Fleet driving criteria
    • Self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication and listening skills. 
    • Ability to make general administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive and confidential issues. 
    • Excellent problem solving and relationship building skills. 
    • Knowledgeable of security systems and security technology. 
    • Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to networked security systems, project management and presentation programs. 
    • Must be able to work shifts primarily in the afternoons and evenings

    Qualifications

    Education/ Experience:

    •  3 years work experience in customer service related field is preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required·
    • High School Education is required, Associates Degree is prefer
