    EXTRUSION TECHNICIAN I – NORTH BRUNSWICK, NEW JERSEY

    Purpose:

    Maintain and improve extrusion tooling, assist in the development of back up tooling and provide basic troubleshooting assistance to extruder operators.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Assist with cross-functional work on back up tooling projects. Take corrective action on new or modified tooling that deviates from customer requirements, with guidance from other Technicians. With guidance, correct issue and minimize downtime and scrap.
    • Assist with Engineering / Operations projects as needed. Participate in events involving multiple concurrent and sequential development activities.
    • Perform basic analysis and implement improvements under the guidance of others. Proactively identify potential downtime, scrap or reliability issues and communicate them up to appropriate level.
    • Continuously identify opportunities to standardize processes and methods. Ensure documentation is properly completed and reviewed.
    • Make minor adjustments to tooling and process under guidance of other Technicians.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in related field.
    • Strong prioritization and multi-tasking capability.
    • Strong aptitude in problem solving and process improvement.
    • Self-motivated with very strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
    • Experience demonstrates a strong interest and aptitude for work in a technical field.
