    This front-line leadership position plays a key role that leads production operators through the day-to-day operations of window manufacturing. Using lean production and problem-solving skills the Value Stream Team Lead drives daily improvements and team member engagement to achieve production goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. The Value Stream Team Lead is an important part of making our plant a special place to work and making the world’s best windows.



    • Keep our team members safe. Proactively prevent injuries. Use problem solving tools and collaborate with team members to eliminate safety issues. Follow and enforce all safety procedures according to the standards.
    • Follow and improve our production systems and standard work to create high quality windows.
    • Identify process constraints and use our Andersen Management System to improve line flow and balance.    
    • Maintain Tier I/Front Line Management visual management tools (PVA, run charts, focus boards, and other tools) to drive continuous improvement.
    • Use the flow report to produce our customers windows on time and in full.
    • Participate in projects, Kaizens, and other continuous improvement activities. Proficiently use problem solving tools and methodologies such as 5 Why, PDCA, and focus boards.
    • Lead approximately 20 production associates as direct reports.



    • 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience is required in manufacturing or equivalent industry and/or candidates with degrees in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain. Entry-level engineers and supply chain individuals are encouraged to apply.
    • Strong skills in the areas of communication (written/verbal), time management, and problem solving.
    • Ability to learn product, process, and equipment.
    • Ability to lead, train, coach, and motivate production employees.
    • Ability to make sound decisions and delegate appropriately.
    • Working knowledge of computer systems – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
    • Mechanical skills is a plus, but not required.
    • Bilingual in Spanish, Creole, Hindi or Gujarati is a plus, but not required.
    • Lean certification or manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required.

    • 1st Shift – Monday through Friday 6:30AM – 4:00PM
