    As the HR Specialist you’ll have the opportunity to provide cross functional support and administrative guidance in the utilization of our HR systems. Your support will include but not be limited to benefits administration and tracking, payroll, on-boarding, and recruiting. You will engage in the delivery of accurate and timely reporting of HR data and associate employment information to the HR Manager, plant management, supervisors, and associates. You must be proactive, assertive, highly organized and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.  You must be process oriented and results driven for HR KPI’s and also have the ability to effectively handle a diversified, non-routine workday along with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.


    • Provides critical administrative and technical support for all HRIS systems. Ensures timely and accurate data entry and ensures data integrity through audits.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives for the purpose of improving operational efficiencies and business flexibility. Documents current processes and procedures and leads the effort to maintain and create flow charts and step by step procedures
    • Provides benefit administrative support with FMLA, STD and LTD claims, maintaining enrollment data and data tacking for the HR Manager.
    • Leads yearly Open Enrollment process for the plant.
    • Data coordination and data entry of all KRONOS scheduling changes.
    • Staffing report updates for Temporary and Fulltime hourly associates, tracking terminations.
    • Entry of Associate Attendance Points, Personal Choice Days, Vacation hours, sick hours into KRONOS.
    • Electronic filing of all On Base associate documentation
    • Change or Update I-9, verification of I-9, and maintaining all files.


    A successful HR Specialist will have:

    • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications. Highly skilled in Excel a must.
    • Ability to stay highly organized while multitasking in a fast paced environment
    • Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of systems (coding, tables) and ability to learn new systems to tackle complex problems
    • Strong written and oral communication skills with the demonstrated ability to present information one on one or to a group.
    • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
    • Detailed oriented with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • Resilient and takes an active role in problem resolution.
    • Understanding of employment law
    • Flexible and able to meet the changing demands of the business


    • Bachelors Degree in HR or a related field or an Associates Degree and at least 2 years HR experience.
    • Experience with KRONOS, HRIS Personnel systems, ADP, and Communication systems a plus.
    • HR Certification a plus.
