  • Overview

    • Industrial manufacturing plant experience.
    • Knowledge of basic hand tools and their proper applications.
    • Computer literate: Email, Search Engines/Data Input capabilities.

    • Able to lift 50 pounds without restriction.
    • Understanding of mechanical transmission systems.
    • Understanding of the safety principles in an industrial maintenance environment. Including LOTO, PPE, Hot Work.
    • Ability to work with a wide variety of hand/power tools and their proper application.
    • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and schematics.
    • Ability to weld and fabricate structural steel.
    • Willing to learn and work any hours and shifts required.
    • Advanced understanding of mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic principles, as used in an industrial manufacturing environment.
    • Fundamental understanding of industrial electrical applications from 5VDC to 3-phase 480VAC.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of industrial manufacturing equipment.
    • Basic knowledge of AC/DC Drives and their operation and repair.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision to maintain plant production operations.
    • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical/mechanical/pneumatic diagrams/schematics.

    Responsibilities

    Performs scheduled and emergency maintenance on manufacturing machinery.  Corrects problems with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical components, and PLCs.  Maintains specified production and spare equipment.  Performs basic to moderately complex electrical repairs and installations.  Operates and assists in maintaining motorized equipment.  Performs basic to moderately complex grounds/facilities repairs, as required.   Interacts with vendors to complete projects or to repair equipment.  Ensures accuracy and safety in all operations.

    Qualifications

    • Meet all the requirements of Maintenance Technician - Level II.
    • Complete understanding of mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic principles as used in an industrial manufacturing environment.
    • Thorough understanding of industrial electrical applications from 5VDC to 3-phase 480VAC.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of AC/DC Drives and their operation and repair.
    • Ability to Lead and Train junior technicians in all electro-mechanical concepts.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability in troubleshooting techniques in all industrial maintenance manufacturing applications.
    • Ability to communicate repair and improvement opportunities to Leads and Management to facilitate Continuous Improvement initiatives.
