  • Overview

    Ensures inventory control through transporting and correct placement of product within outside warehouse. Ensures safety of people in location by following company guidelines on lifting, stacking and operation of motorized equipment and loading of trucks.  Performs all functions in accordance with safety policies and procedures to maintain a quality product during storage and shipment to assist with customer satisfaction.  Must be flexible to ever changing of priorities to accommodate customer demands.

     

    Responsibilities

    Ensure finished goods skids are transported to respective warehouse in a timely manner.
    Ensure that all job related paperwork (i.e. inventory move sheet) is accurately and legibly completed.
    Responsible for performing the shipping and loading of all shipments from the outside warehouse.
    Must have computer skills and be willing to work overtime to support finished goods movement.
    Must be willing to work alone at off site warehouse.
    Report any safety violation or issues to the supervisor immediately for prompt resolution. Help promote good housekeeping with assigned area through participation in 5S zone(s).
    Work closely with departmental supervisor on priorities to eliminate obstacles that would prevent product in getting to the customer in a timely manner. Provide support as needed to ensure 100% accuracy and ensures customer satisfaction.
    Advise departmental supervisor when caught up and to assist in other areas as needed.
    Must be able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks for completion in the safest and most efficient manner possible to meet or exceed Company expectations.
    Change batteries and/or gas tanks on motorized equipment. Report maintenance needs to appropriate personnel. Perform any daily preventative maintenance or check sheets as needed on motorized equipment as dictated by policy/procedure.

     

    Qualifications

    Candidates must be able to pass a Ply Gem Certified motorized equipment license and DOT physical annually.
    Candidate must have a valid driver’s license, pass our Ply Gem driving record requirements and pass all other DOT requirements to drive the box truck. Special consideration will be given to candidates that have already met all DOT requirements.
    Must have the willingness to work alone transporting product to the outside warehouse and work in extreme temperatures
