Overview

Provides administrative support for Human Resources Manager in the areas of recruitment, applicant tracking, attendance recordkeeping, data entry and general Human Resources functions.  Ensures accurate and timely completion of Human Resources related processes; and that confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintains and updates attendance system or records for all hourly and salaried plant personnel (as appropriate).

 

  1. Assists with and inputs applicant/resume information into applicant tracking system (as applicable).

 

  1. Schedules interviews and assists with establishing and conducting orientation training programs.

 

  1. Ensures all information is accurately entered in human resources system and forwarded to Corporate Office in a timely manner and as required.

 

  1. Processes weekly or bi-weekly payroll for plant and forwards to Corporate Payroll in an accurate and timely manner.

 

  1. Assists with maintaining, updating and distributing plant roster.

 

  1. Maintains filing and performs general administrative functions.

 

  1. Assists with performance evaluations process.

 

  1. Prepares human resources reports by assembling and compiling data.

 

  1. Provides information and assists associates with questions and concerns of a routine nature.

 

  1. Ensures confidentiality is maintained at all times with associate issues, paperwork, etc.

 

  1. Complies with Federal, State and Local legal requirements by following policies and procedures.

 

  1. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma/GED required.  College level coursework in Human Resources/Business Management/General Clerical preferred.

 

Experience

Minimum of one year experience in an office environment required.  Two or more years of experience in a clerical or Human Resources environment preferred.

 

Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, etc. required.  Effective organizational and communication skills required.

 

Other

Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures preferred.
