  • Overview

    Supervises, directs, advises and trains manufacturing team members in accordance with established manufacturing policies to ensure production demands are met.  Associate operates the automated and manual concrete batching systems to assure all concrete is mixed to precise and predetermined concrete recipes. Monitors the daily fluctuations in moisture content of the ingredients and compensation for the variables which are required to maintain consistency in concrete. Conducts concrete quality tests and documentation. He/she should communicate with fillers, leads, etc…to ensure quality is accurate & consistent.  Associate maintains paperwork as required.  

     

    Responsibilities

    1. Mix and dispatch concrete to a predetermined recipe.
    2.  Coordinate the batching sequence and dispatch to supply both production machines to minimize down time.
    3.  Observe fresh concrete properties while in use & flag/tag batches in question.
    4.  Conduct controlled batch testing & determine when concrete is not useable. Report all issues to quality and supervisor immediately.
    5.  Assist with ACI required concrete testing.
    6.  Document mixes and other pertinent information.
    7.  Data entry of cement deliveries.
    8.  Ensure mixer and surrounding work area is clean and in proper working order. Perform preventative maintenance checks and submit abnormalities to maintenance with appropriate work orders. 
    9.  Identify maintenance, material, and inventory problems as they occur to optimize run time and minimize down time.
    10.  Stage and stock materials needed for production.  Restock before shift’s completion.
    11.  Able to run forklift and do forklift safety/damage inspection checks as required by Supervisor.

    Qualifications

    High School Graduate/GED.  Previous Batch Operator experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
